Educational Games

More often than not, a game is a good way to alleviate anger or boredom. Here are some great time wasters that are definitely worthwhile:

1) Egg run

The objective is to jump in such a way that you reach the tree branch. You drag the egg back for force and release your hold when you are satisfied with the angle. Once you have gotten the tree, a ladder will fall. Get to the ladder in the same way. Be careful though, as you progress, the levels get harder with holes and no walls for you to bounce on.

2) Bombay Taxi 2

Car parking games just never bore you and gives you this insatiable desire to finish the game and be the best driver ever. It also serves as an educational game too especially for soon to be or future youngsters aiming to get their driver’s license will learn a lot for this game. Parking gets harder at every level, with fog, rain, kites and paint obscuring your line of vision.

3) The Apprentice

It is a time management game based on the TV show of Donald Trump. You work as an intern for Dairy Queen and will have to serve customers based on what they order. Some are easy but some are extremely hard to remember. At the start of each stage, you are given a goal as to how much income should be generated and your job is to make that happen.

3) Western

This shooting game is addictive. The logic of the game is to shoot your enemies before they shoot you. You role is to play the hero in a wild, wild west style game where you have to shoot every bandit in Texas. The game is a little frustrating but an awesome time waster.

5) Mars Patrol

Very similar to the classic Battle City, you drive around in a tank and destroy everything along the way. The only difference is that you don’t get power ups that you can use to protect your base because you don’t have a base. You only need to get through.

6) Stackapolis

By far, this is one of the most addictive arcade games. You are supposed to replicate the picture shown by moving the blocks to its correct placement. Think it is too easy? You could not have been more mistaken. As you progress, the time limit gets shorter while the structures you need to create get more complex and when you do not create the structure on time, the game is over. Do not worry though, remember to memorize the code for each level so if in any case you do not survive the level, you can go back to the same level simply by entering the code.

The online arcade games are offered in the ‘ready to play’ mode and games that the child can play on the browser itself. Today, the gaming world has touched the leisure world of adults as well. The online arcade games too are designed in levels and offer the ‘advanced’ gaming experience to the adult. The 24×7 availability of the online arcade games works in more ways than one for the kids.

They have begun preferring playing indoors with a peer group for competition and this has again led to a lot of effective communication and solidarity within the peer group.

Kids can now design, build and create at an early age and there is something to learn from every online arcade game. While pulling at the consoles, the child could be learning the ‘slow and steady wins the race’ importance or ‘the winner takes it all!’

The online arcade games can be played without the need to install any programs on the personal computer at home. The games are sponsored by the companies directly or the advertising partners. This is a lesson in computing the child learns as he is getting geared to play a free game and a membership-attached game.

In the case of stressed out adults, the quick, casual games during a coffee break or a private tournament post work – helps de-stress.

The graphics, sounds and uniqueness of each of the online arcade games intrigues the adolescent enough to take up a career in graphics and animation, as on record.

The online arcade games can either be played by yourself or you could choose to match up against friends or colleagues. The varied and versatile online arcade games keep many a child and adult occupied for hours. Online arcade games offer leisure and de-stress avenues amidst work, in the case of adults and a great way of making up after a tiff with your best friend, in the case of children. The games also come in the ‘flash game’ mode and enable you to actually turn to your website against boredom!

The online arcade gaming experience is at all times only a click away and a great way to spend quality time with someone special and unique – YOU! The games are designed to be reflections of our real world and even as you indulge in a 2Fast 2Furious mode, you get a chance to be with yourself and develop strategy that can again be replicated in the real world. Imagine what the score keeping does to the child’s approach to math! The online arcade games have lessened the mess you needed to clear up after a great board game. Even if you won, you cleared up – was the rule. Now, with the online arcade games, there’s no clearing up! Click and log on and you are there and click and log off and you are done!

Arcade And Computer Games Meet

Article by Victor Epand

There are many arcade games out on the Internet that kids the age of 6 to 8 years old can play. There are some that are violent so we have chosen not to review those. Kids get so much violence from other influences; we are not supporting that position. The games we ranked were challenging but still could be won if the child had enough hand-eye coordination. Try to encourage them as they play so that they will not get discouraged and quit. Remaining positive is always better for their young growing minds. So let them play the games as we think that games do have a place in a growing child’s realm. They teach so many skills that the child will need in their grown-up lives. There are other ways to teach this same skill, but children seem to learn faster and with less grumbling if they enjoy the method.

The most relaxing and stress free game was Yuniti while the Mini Gallery was the most stressful of all the games we reviewed. Seeing Santa plastered on the snow was funny and while he slid down the ravine he said weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yuniti is a great hand, eye coordination game and it is very relaxing. The child between 4 and 8 can easily play this game. It lasts as long as you can keep the balls from hitting the ground. Even an adult could get to love this addicting game as it is so relaxing. You have a green ball that you are in control of with your arrow keys. When a blue ball floats downward, you bump it with the green ball so that it will go up again. It seems quit tame at first, then, more balls start falling. Within 40 seconds you may have at least 3 or 4 balls falling around the same time. The longer your score time is the better you are at it.

After Glow is a game where you are guiding your ship through several levels while collecting orbs. You must complete each level in the shortest possible amount of time. The levels are based around time and separated into easy mode, medium and hard mode which leaves insane mode for those who have conquered the game. Your score is based on how long it takes you to maneuver through the obstacles. If you accidently hit the wall you are penalized. The harder you hit a wall the more penalties the game will give you. It is diffinently a game of hand and eye coordination and learning to use those arrow keys ceee! This game does take some skills so a child of 6 to 8 could probably learn to play this game.

Mini Gallery is another arcade game that probably a 6 year old to 8 year old would want to play. You have a basket where you want to catch the “good” eggs that are falling from the sky. There are also “bad” eggs falling and you sure do not want those eggs in your basket. If you get a full basket of good eggs, then you click the mouse and cook them. Even on the easy mode, this game was quit challenging as some of the eggs looked good as they were falling, but at the last moment, they cracked open! A child needs to have great hand eye coordination as well as the ability to tell a good egg from a bad egg. This is a short lived game if you cannot maneuver the mouse and differentiate between the good and the bad eggs.
